This is a real mission style rotating bookcase , not a victorian wannabe. It has great quartersawn oak with faux keyed tenons. It is 21" square and 41-1/2" tall resting on a tri-pod base so it will be stable on any floor. Rotates smoothly, no shaking or rattling. It is solid with no loose joints. It required only minimal cleaning and waxing. The interior is not finished and never was, nor was it ever waxed inside. Shellac finish can get tacky in high heat (not a real consideration today with air conditioning) and wax rubs off on to the books. Either could be detrimental to the books. We will finish the inside if buyer would like. But I do recommend it not be waxed.
T are a total of 12 shelves that are 7" deep, 10-1/2" wide and all are 10" high. If you've been looking for a true mission style rotating bookcase and don't want to settle for a victorian substitute this is your chance. So, if you don't want to loose out to another anxious bidder click the Buy it Now, NOW, or make me a reasonable offer.. Payments: We accept personal checks (10 day wait to clear), money orders, Visa, MasterCard and Pay Pal. Pick Up: All the item listed in our auction can be picked up at my retail store 3 miles south of Allentown, PA. The store is open Wed- Sat 10 to 5:30 and Sundays 11 to 4. We are less than 1/2 mile from exit 60 of I-78, the PA Route 309 exit. About 1 hour west of the Newark, NJ airport or 1 hour north of Philly and less than 10 from the Queen City airport. Shipping: Shipping costs are not included in your final bid and are the responsibility of the buyer. Items paid by money orders and credit cards will be shipped immediately by UPS or priority mail when possible. Some additional charge may be incurred if the item needs to be professionally packaged. Packaging cost for this item will be $40. This bookcase is too large for the US Mail. It can be shipped by UPS, Fed Ex, etc. as an oversized packaged. This will have to be shipped by common carrier of the buyers choice. I can recommend a few including Craters and Freighters, Ply Con, and Pak Mail. We will assist in making shipping arrangements to the extent possible. We strongly recommend that the buyer pay the shipping directly so that the insurance is in your name. Please note the information regarding shipping via Greyhound Package Express. My experience is that UPS is about twice, maybe a little more, the cost of GPX for oversized shipments. But only add the packaging cost once. We are close to a Greyhound terminal (Allentown, PA 18102) and can ship this GPX but be aware the insurance is limited to $300 by Greyhound. Based on an estimated shipping weight of 75 pounds and shipping to California the cost to ship GPX would be $70. So including the packaging the total would be $110. Obviously less the closer you are to Allentown, PA. You can calculate your own cost at / using the information provided above.
