Well, let's try this again... Okay, so this is probably not a Grand Rapids Metalwork shade, but it is darn cool. I've never seen another like it. (this auction is for the shade only; no base, no finial) This comes out of long-time storage...I bought it as a Limbert piece, and the shade has some of the characteristics of both Limbert and Stickley, ie: dancing Dutch children, windmills, opalescent stained glass, etc. (I've since learned that windmills and Dutch children were apparently common motifs during the Arts and Crafts period.) Like Limbert, the brass is die-stamped, but the seams are welded, not riveted. So, since I've never seen anything to compare it to except the super high-end Grand Rapids hand-hammered and riveted pieces...(and this ain't that)...it remains just one really great stained glass Arts and Crafts shade that makes me smile whenever its lit up. May you enjoy it as much as I have. The shade is 10 inches square and 7 inches high. T are no chips or cracks in the glass, and the brass is a little "age-blotched"... I have not cleaned or polished it in any way. Paypal preferred, M.O. okay. Shipping, bubble-wrapped and double-boxed, USPS Priority insured, a flat $10.50. Happy bidding and Happy Holidays.
