You are bidding on a vintage period Arts & Crafts hammered copper lidded container, box or humidor. Probably American made I believe it may be a humidor due to the underside of the lid has a metal strap that seems to have held something at some point in time. The quality hand hammering and dark, rich patina on this piece is exceptional rivaling such makers as Roycroft, Stickley and Van Erp. Just perfect for your bungalow, mission style or arts & crafts era desk or home. The lower portion of this pot is six sided and the form and hammering shows excellent workmanship. The lid has a curled strap handle and is attached with rivets showing once again the fine hand work that went into making this piece. This humidor or lidded container measures 4 inches tall by 6 inches across and is in good condition with no dents, tears, damage or repairs. The only thing to mention is that the strap handle on the lid is pushed slightly to one side. This pot is unmarked. Any white or yellow spots are from camera glare only.
