This is an outstanding Ascorti calabash with meerschaum insert. This top of the line model features a diagonal straight grain connected by birdseye in the appropriate places. Nomenclature reads, "Ascorti, NUS, hand made Italy" and measures a full 5 ½ inches in length and bowl height at just over 2 ½ inches. The stem bears the white "A" logo and is free of any marks. The meerschaum insert is also tight fitting and no concern for air loss. I love calabash and this is another I will hate see go as collection gets drastically reduced.
