This wonderfu and rare Ashton was made in 2002 by Bill Taylor for the 5th anniversary of NASPC North American Society of Pipe Collectors. Only a total of 33 pipes were made. Bill Taylor/Ashton was the only pipe maker ever selected to make more that one pipe for NASPC. In fact, he made three pipes-the first ever NASPC pipe in 1998, the 5th Anniversary pipe in 2002, and the 10th Anniversary pipe in 2007. They are rare to say the least. The dimensions are approximately 6 1/4 " L, 2 1/4 " H, 1 1/2 " outside diameter, 15/16 " inside diameter. None of these 5th anniversary NASPC pipes were stamped with a size. Stampings include Ashton Quaint NASPC and MADE IN ENGLAND with a 22 behind- indicating 2002. It has a fantastic craggy sandblast with 8 sides in a paneled staraight Dublin. An absolutely wonderful and rare pipe from the great Era of Ashtons. Few chances come up to obtain of of these, so now is one of those opportunities.
