Matchlessantiques is offering Smiths and Collectors this VINTAGE 2 Pound ATHA Combonation Cross / Straight Peen Blacksmith Tinsmith Hammer. This hammer could be used by either a blacksmith or tinsmith. The hammer is in excellent condition and the working faces are very clean. The hammer has the Atha Trademark, an "A" inside a horseshoe. This is a NO RESERVE auction. NOTE : The Blacksmith Anvil and other tools ARES NOT INCLUDED in this auction. The anvil and other tools are being offered in other auctions.Atha Tool Co. has been said to have been making blacksmith tools as early as 1875. Atha was considered one of the three "major" blacksmith tool makers in business beginning before the turn of the 20th century. They were located in Newark, New Jersey. They were purchased / bought out by Stanley Rule & Level Co. in 1913, however Stanley retained their Trademark. They were well known for their quality and workmanship. The measurements are: overall length 14", head measures 1 1/8" x 5 5/8", weight 2 pounds. Lower 48 states s/h/i is only $8.00
