Please note an attempt on my part to follow a pattern with the rolling stock photos: 1. side of car with B end at left. 2. side of car with B end at right. 3. top of car. 4.bottom of car. 5. B end of car, showing some of the roof. Also please note extra photo of damaged roof walk...ITEM: In some ways this is an exceptional example of the all metal Athearn 40 ft. boxcar model. The car has not been altered with new couplers or anything like that, but there are some problems also...see "Condtion". Drop steps are bent wire and ladders are stamped metal. This car has very nice sprung metal trucks, which I presume to be original, with fine quality brass wheels on metal axles. Plastic hornhook couplers are in original draft gear.THIS CAR: Northern Pacific; NP15827. Build date 3-40. CONDITION: Bad and Good: body, paint, ends, ladders, grabs etc. all excellent. Roof walk looks like the waves of the sea (see 5th photo). No drop steps. Great candidate for restoration...SHIPPING: Actual car weight for this car: 4.4 ounces. Eight inch box weighs 2.8 ounces. Shipping weight for this model, in a outer box will be around 8 ounces with proper packing materials. First Class Package rate...
