Atkins 401 Rosewood Handled 26” Saw 6TPI $24.95 A real beauty with nearly all of the varnish on the handle (t are some scratches which Old English will conceal) and a very clear etch on the blade. The etch states in fancy script the “four hundred our elite saw” silver steel unequalled and all kinds of superlatives. This was the top of the line for the Atkins company. This example is the straight back and the bottom of the etch states 401 and ship point. I have lightly oiled the blade but have done nothing to “enhance” the saw. The etch is all t and this should clean up beautifully. T is one kink in the middle of the blade so if you want to use it, it will require someone who is an accomplished saw doctor, but should be worth the effort. We were fortunate to find two of these saws the other is an eight point which is also for sale in another listing.
