“The Atlantic House”

This is a great buy…two prints for the price of one. T are two images on the same poster. The top print, entitled “The Final Moments,” feature the famous Atlantic house in its glory days the night before it was claimed by the sea. The bottom print, entitled “The Morning After,” features the image of the piers that the Atlantic house use to stand on and a “ghosted image” of the Atlantic House.

Each Image is 11 ½ x 15

About Madeline Carol

Born in 1944 to an Air Force family in Douglas , Arizona , Madeline traveled with her family and lived in Alaska and Europe . In the 1950's her family settled in Charleston , SC. She feels that Charleston and her people portray the warmth, elegance and charm which is reminiscent of England w she lived and studied art.

Madeline's personal style has been influenced by well-known artists of the United States and England . Her formal art study includes a Degree in Fine Arts from the Charleston Southern University and additional study at the College of Charleston . She also studied with distinguished artist instructor Ray Goodbred of the Art Students League of New York. Madeline's formal training has been further enhanced by the artistic experience sharing of her mother Freda Hanna, who is a well known artist of the Low country.

In 1979, Madeline began teaching art at Trident Technical College of Charleston in the Graphics Department. She then pursued a career in art as a Department of Navy illustrator at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Madeline's repertoire of artistic skills gained for her the civilian title position of the "Charleston Naval Shipyard Illustrator". She was the first woman to achieve this position since its establishment two decades earlier. Madeline enjoys the fact that famous artist Norman Rockwell also was a Navy Yard Artist at Charleston 's Naval Shipyard in 1918.

Madeline Carol's work is available in art galleries throughout the United States and Europe .

As a Gallery Owner, illustrator, and art instructor Madeline has achieved par excellence in the art world.

We roll the prints and ship in the USPS triangle shipping tubes, we have used the round tubes as well as the triangle tubes, both hold up well and the post office can destroy one as easily...
