Overview: Up for bid is a custom painted and weathered Atlas O ATSF 40ft double door box car, 2R . This car has a build date of 52' and has been weathered for the mid 60's (prototype pic ). Here is one of those prototype pics that jumped off the page at me. Will be working on the shading and base color of future versions but this is a start. The decals were professionally designed and printed by Highball Graphics. The car also includes cut levers, hoses, and Atlas Bettendorf trucks. Other models not part of auction. Serial Number: 1315 Each car comes with an engraved plate listing serial number. The completed car album of over 1000 cars to date is now being uploaded to . the album Weathering Information: This is a new car that has been removed from its packaging, primed, painted, weathered, KD 805 couplers installed, Atlas trucks installed, and repacked. It was created with a combination of artists colors, Floquil paints, weathering powders, dry brushing, and air brushing. The rust was created with a combination of artists colors layered to achieve a realistic pitted and "running" effect. The trucks and wheels are also weathered with 3 separate colors to achieve maximum realism.
