Overview: Up for bid is a custom painted and weathered Atlas O Rock Island Airslide set, 2R . These cars were both built in 75' and have been weathered for the late 70's to early 80's (prototype pics ). Its amazing how many of these mid-western cars were in flour service in the NY area during the 70's. These 2 caught my eye as the RI was so colorful toward the end and there was such a variety of paint scheme's and I used Evergreen styrene to build out the slanted panels on the ends of these cars and also removed a side ladder on each and attached new grab rails. Both cars were painted with Scalecoat II paints and the decals were professionally designed and printed by Highball Graphics. The cars also include cut levers, and Atlas 70t rollerbearing trucks. The completed car album of over 1000 cars to date is now being uploaded to . the album Weathering Information: This is a new car that has been removed from its packaging, primed, painted, weathered, KD 805 couplers installed, Atlas trucks installed, and repacked.
