Atlas N Scale EMD SD-24 Locomotive#54419 Santa Fe - Zebra Stripe - "Billboard" Lettering #927 New - In Original Box This is a new Atlas N Scale EMD SD-24 Locomotive #54419 Santa Fe - Zebra Stripe - "Billboard" Lettering #927. The MSRP is $99.95. A total of 222 SD-24's were produced by EMD between July 1958 and March 1963. The SD-24 generated a total of 2,400 hp with its turbocharged 567D-3 prime mover and C-C wheel arrangement. The use of a larger 2,400 - 3,000 gallon fuel tank on this unit required the unique placement of the main air reservoirs (with related piping) on the roof. Other distinguishing spotting features included the rounded traction motor blower bulge on the left side of the long hood, 3 large 48" radiator cooling fans on the rood, and a large turbocharged exhaust stack.
