This is an Antique Mantle Lamp Company Table Lamp sold under the Aladdin name. It was first introduced in 1935 advertisements as Model G 41. This lamp has a harp and a glass shade which looks like half the planet Saturn. This lamp is 17" high overall, 12" to the top of the electric fixture, and the base is 3 1/2" square. The glass shade is about 10" diameter x 5" high. The weight is 4 1/2 lb. The glass and all parts of the lamp are all good, no chips, cracks, or scuffs. It is shown in the Aladdin Electric Lamps book by J.W.Courter (however not with this rare shade). There is also another lamp G-345R Pineapple by Aladdin. If you are a collector of early electric lamps this one should be on your table. The wiring, switch and plug were all recently replaced for safety sake and we could not save the external part of the push switch. We sell antique, vintage, collectible and used items.
