This one has been seviced by David Wright at Border Patrol with over £250 spent. New Caps etc.. all tested and running sweet. The 500 has been well looked after and is in tip-top condition. 25wpc, pure Class A , push-pull configuration. The side inputs are adorn with a host of RCA line-inputs, a tape out and extraordinary MM phono stage, one of the best built-in stages we've heard on an integrated under 4k This is model carries the 16 ohm taps and HInchley transformers (later models used cheaper transformers which lacked the sheer magic of this version). The valve output tubes are Sovtek EL34 pentodes. Three ECC83' (this has nos US 5751s) and two ECC88 (6922) complete the valve compliment. Operation is smooth and the tubes have plenty of life in them. The amplifier is in fine fettle and performed peerlessly throughout testing. The Acylic plinth is almost un-marked save for a hairline scratch on the underside. (common with these now). and has four pegs to hold it down.
