This lithograph is from the Amsterdam Edition of John James Audubon’s The Birds of America. The work was published in Amsterdam and New York by Johnson Reprint Corporation and Theatrum Orbis Terrarum between 1971 and 1972. These lithographs are sought after because of the rich detail preserved in their creation.I am selling this for a friend (seen posing with it in my first photo), who had this print (along with the Audubon Raven print in another listing) hanging in her dining room for years. Non-smoking environment. She has moved to a smaller home which has no appropriate wall space for these prints. The print is in perfect condition, like the day it was purchased in 1994. It was “museum-mounted” by Reuss Antique and Art Center, Sheffield, Massachusetts (see photo of receipt for $2,300). The print is under UV glass and is sealed on the back with professional brown Kraft paper. The frame is antiqued with gold trim. It is wired for immediate hanging. The dimensions to the outside of the frame are 38 X 51 inches.I would prefer pickup (or will meet you within 50 miles or so for $1.00 per mile). Shipping is possible, so please contact me to discuss this if you are seriously interested. I do not have any shipping cost quote to provide at this time.
