BEAUTIFUL, MINT, AUGARTEN

CUP AND SAUCER

Produced by one of the finest porcelain companies of the world, on a par with Meissen and Nymphenberg, Augarten has been operating for nearly 300 years in Vienna , Austria . This Cup and Saucer pair is hand painted with beautiful green flowers and gold trim on a white porcelain background. The cup is 4 3/8 inches rim to handle X 2 1/2 inches tall and the saucer is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The pattern is called Deutsche Blumen by the factory but I know it as Alt Maria Teresia. The outside rim, as well as the foot, of the cup is gold and has an accent line of green inside the gold. It is painted with one large and one small green flower on the back. The saucer is gold trimmed with the green accent line inside. It has two green flower on opposing edges. Both pieces are signed on the back with the Augarten bindenshield, Augarten Wien Austria in red, the mold number of 62 called Mozart and the pattern number of 5851. Lastly is written the artist number 75 which belongs to Helene Neumeyer who worked for the factory from, 1940 to 1960.

Both pieces are as new with no gold wear, no chips, cracks or crazing.
