Augustine & Rosalie Pinto & Bev Etsate Mudhead Set Augustine & Rosalie Pinto handcrafted this set back in the 1970's with Bev Etsates help. Bev is their daughter. Augustine passed away in 2002 and Rosalie a few years after. Their jewelry continues to be highly collectable and it is very hard to find complete sets. This Mudhead Necklace is signed with a handwritten (ARP ZUNI & BEV ETSATE) and the Earrings are signed by only (BEV ETSATE. This Mudhead set is in perfect condition. It is made from Sterling Silver. The background is Tortoise Shell and the Mudhead is handcrafted with the stones of Coral, Turquoise & Mother of Pearl. Augustine & Rosalies Pintos work lives on through Bev Etsate. However, some of the newer pieces I have seen have been done with Pen Shell in the background. I have also been told that Bev Etsate is no longer making this style of Mudhead unless it is a special order. Also, Tortoise shell is no longer legal to use. So you might see a newer piece that was done with a real shiny black background. In a seperate listing I have a fantastic bracelet which was handcrafted by Augustine & Rosalie Pinto.
