AURORA Classic
The lava lamp of clocks. The worlds best night light. The best art deco statement from the 1970's. Ultra contemporary - sold by New York, Museum of Modern Art Conversation piece -- par excellance! The photos are just of what the Auroras are like in general. This is an Aurora we built especially for eBay. I like to find any excuse to keep and auction on eBay going so people know I am around. The clock has a new motor, new rear filter, a Japanese version face filter and the original incandescent lamp from the 1970's in the back. The case is used from the early 1970's. It polished up quite nicely. It has two polished over dimples on the right side of the main tube about half way back from the front at about 3 o'clock. The base tube has one very small polished over dimple on the side. Overall the case is very nice. Because of this we are asking $20 more than the last few we have offered of eBay. We put a used back cover with it to keep the price down. If you wanted a new perfect back cover it would be $12 more. In any case if you are unhappy for any reason it can be returned and you are only out the shipping cost. This version of the Aurora has some real benefits. The cost is lower since the original lighting source is in it. The filters should be very stable since the complex part of the filter is in the front, further away from the heat of the lamp. The colors are great âe"âe"âe" the Japanese did the best job in creating the filter in their version and they laminated the filter between glass plates, making it more durable. The only filter in the rear is a polarizer, which is a thick material, so t is no thin filter that could ripple from the heat of the lamp.I will start the auction at $319, $131 less than a new Aurora. If you order it and you are unhappy, it is returnable (minus the $13.95 shipping charge). The clock comes with a one year warranty on parts and labor. Shipping is $13.95 California residents must pay 7 1/4% sales tax. We at repair and rebuild about 15 Auroras per month. We also sell brand new Auroras and manufacture 6 other digital art clocks. We have been in the business of creating and making art clocks for 37 years. Barry Gamble ChronoArt Inc. 9175 Poplar Ave.Cotati, CA 94931 Questions call me at
