The book was launched via THE DAILY TELEGRAPH newspaper on Saturday November 20 th 1999 as a full two page centre spread by motoring journalist Malcolm McKay. Here I have the full double page original DAILY TELEGRAPH spread dating to the 20 th November 1999 and handwritten on by the newspaper buyer is ‘ordered one copy of book and sent cheque for £7.95 dated 24.11.99 The FIRST EDITION David Whyley book is with it, inside the from cover is a sticker ‘Ex Libris’ ‘Elizabeth Brooks’ 8.12.99 (later books are subsequent reprints and say so inside) The newspaper has a lightest amount of yellowing, the book is as near mint as you are going to find without finding one in its original wrapper, there is just the smallest marks in one place on the edge.
