***PLEASE NOTE*** I am away from home until May 17. All specimens purchased during this time will ship promptly upon my return. This week, we're celebrating the minerals of Arizona, Mexico, and New Mexico. Austinite Gold Hill, Tooele county, Utah, USA 6.8 x 3.9 centimeters An excellent cabinet size specimen of Austinite from it's type locality at Gold Hill! This limonite plate is richly coated in ball shaped aggregates of Austinite, some of which may be coated in drusy quartz (it's difficult to discern). A large display specimen of this well known arsenate from it's type locality. Gold Hill, located in far western Utah, is without doubt the most remote place I've had the pleasure of visiting in the lower 48 states. On the 4th of July, several years ago, I traveled the long dirt road from Topaz Mountain to Gold Hill without seeing another human being until I found myself on the freeway south of West Wendover that night. The Gold Hill district has produced almost 200 species including many of great rarity, and has been the type locality for a number of new minerals. I am listing many rare species and unusual locality specimens this week, all starting at just one dollar. I'm happy to combine shipping for multiple orders! Be sure to add me to your favorites list !
