Two Antique Australian Aboriginal BoomerangsThe larger of the two boomerangs has writing on the front including the date 1945. (See photos) It appears to have been varnished on the front but not on the back which shows the adze marks. The smaller of the two boomerangs is simple in form with no varnish and has a rounded vs flat appearance which may indicate it was used more as a weapon-like club rather than a boomerang. dimensions: A: 24.25", B: 20.75"From a private New Mexico Collection.
