Welcome Vintage Carnival Glass Collectors! IS ANOTHER PIECE YOU WON'T SEE UP FOR AUCTION ON EBAY OFTEN! Up for auction from a neat old estate is a VERY BEAUTIFUL, old AUSTRALIAN BUTTERFLY BUSH LARGE CRYSTAL COMPOTE IN A DEEP PURPLE COLOR! IT IS STUNNING! The iridescence is outstanding! TAKE A LOOK AT THIS FINE VINTAGE AUSTRALIAN PIECE FOLKS! IT IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE! The owner was an avid Carnival Glass Collector with over 300 pieces in their collection, so this piece has been well cared for and VERY PROUDLY DISPLAYED! This old beauty is AWESOME in every way! A showcase piece certain to be a highlight of any collection. No cracks, chips, repairs, flea bites, loss of iridescence, etc! I can find nothing to mention at all aside from a few very faint stretch marks and a few pin head sized pepper marks on the bottom side w the stem meets the bowl. Very minor manufacturing spots! Not worthy of consideration on a piece of this caliber! 9 years ago, David Doty's 1998 Price Guide listed this quality piece as selling for up to $500.00 and what a splendid example this one is! Check out the picture with the light shining through this piece! The color is SO deep...the picture with a light shining through it is taken right in front of a 100 watt clear light bulb! The color shining through actually looks VERY RED! Red is not listed as one of the colors in the book...so I'm sticking with purple...but you be the judge yourself! Certainly looks red to me! Talk about the WOW factor! The overall color of the compote is just gorgeous! The mold is VERY crisp. I think the pictures say it all....please take a look at them. At least I hope they do it justice as this piece is hard to represent properly. This has been a showcase piece! The pictures tell the tale! They were taken in natural light...NO FLASH. This piece is so gorgeous and has been extremely well cared for! It is CLEAN! For those of you new to Carnival Glass, I guarantee you this is a 100% authentic early 1900's antique! I deal in Carnival Glass a lot and you can rest assured this is THE HIGHEST OF QUALITY PIECES! A REAL SHOW STOPPER! Don't miss this opportunity to add this BEAUTY to your collection or purchase as a very special gift! You will absolutely be hard pressed to ever find another one in as good as condition as this one! This is one of those pieces that just don't come around very often! It is a spectacular piece and this is as excellent of an example as you will likely EVER see!
