I don't care who you meet, coin collectors, investors, or just plain skeptics, all who have seen this coin set admire it. If you ever have the chance to be around children with this Australian coin set, I know with experience you will have their undivided attention. People of all walks & ages want to know what animal represents them. It's a show stopper & a conversational piece. I have kept this coin set stored in a large safe, which resides in a low humid heated & cooled room. The case, cover, & coins all are in perfect condition, you will not be disappointed. I have searched around, these are rare. There population is low. If I broke up this set & had all of them rated by NGC I could sell it for more. I really have loved this set as it is & kept them together, that's the collector in me. I have only found one other for sale by Ebayer icoinbiz . His set does not include the case as mine does & his asking price is $1288. He is the only other seller I can find. Australian: Silver Lunar Zodiac A Chinese legend relates how the 12 lunar-zodiac animals were selected by the Jade Emperor. He conducted a race of all the animals, and named years in the order that they finished. During the race across the countryside, the rat hitched a ride on the back of the slow but persistent ox. When the ox was a few feet from the finish line, the rat jumped off and raced ahead to claim the victory and the right to represent the first lunar-zodiac year. Following the rat was the ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and boar. Australia issued its first Lunar-Zodiac coin in 1996, "The Year of the Rat," and issues new silver coins each year in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) and Proof (PR or PRF) quality. BU coins are Mint State - lustrous with no sign of wear. Proof coins are specially made for collectors - with sharp details and brilliant mirrorlike fields. It's difficult to take pictures of 12 silver coins at the same time when they are bright silver & reflective. I took several pictures & even scanned them in my scanner. Three of the pictures are with a digital camera & the other two are with a high power scanner. None of the pictures truly show what you see with your eyes, thus I do my best to explain what you are getting to the best of my ability. I have a long history of buying & selling coins, please do check my feedback.Shipping: Will be done by USPS Priority mail. Insurance is included. You will need to be able to sign for this package . Shipping is free. I usually ship the next day. Returns & exchanges : This is a very straight forward product. These coins has been examined very carefully, and have been described very accurately. I always make it a point to fully describe an item so you know what you are getting before you buy it, therefore is why I don't offer refunds or exchanges. If by some faint chance it is damaged via shipping that is why I insure these coins before it is shipped.
