We are pleased to offer this genuine 18 century English? mahogany Chippendale armchair with Hepplewhite legs! 2 local trusted antique dealers who deal in early American furnture have dated the chair to the best of their knowledge and they believe it is English rather than American.... It has approx. 70% of it's original finish with 3 very old repairs that we can see.The corner braces are of oak and a later date. The front left corner has a 3 inch split at the top ...photos #3 & #5 show this...Photo #4 shows 2 different pieces of wood, the top of which may have been replaced. The cross stretcher at the base of the chair has been repaired as seen in photo #6..This great OLD chair is very heavy and sturdy...the seat is new ...A wonderful opportunity to own an authentic 18 century chair!
