Authentic African Shaman Python head wood frame drum This drum was bought in the mid 90s from the folk music shop in claremont, california, from the owner of the store who has since passed. The store is now owned by the grandson of the owner who my mother purchased this drum from, musician Ben Harper. I was told the head is of Python skin. I do not know the wood but this thing is solid and can still be played. There are a few pegs gone and one small rip in the head but this thing is still solid! The diameter is twelve inches from longest peg to longest peg and 4 inches wide. IT should probably be in a museum. Email me any questions you might have. Thanks!
