This authentic, older quilt is made of classical, practical Amish cloth of deep purple and black. The backing is the delightful blue used for children's wear. Fabric feels like it is cotton (the purple) and a cotton blend (black and blue fabrics.) The traditional diamond and heart patterns are used for the hand quilting and has about 7-8 stitches per inch. The binding and blocks are assembled with nice strong treadle stitching. 34-1/4"x34-1/4", t is some fading at the edges. I could find no breaks in the hand stitching. Since I do not want to launder it (that's the privilege of the new owner), this delightful vintage quilt is being sold as found.
