Authentic Antique Ethiopian Leather Gourd Milk Jug. Bought in Ethiopia by the seller, who attests to its authenticity. About 12 inches in height, with removable stopper, the gourd base is covered with leather, and leather forms the neck. Intended to carry milk, it will hold liquids. Decorated with nickel/silver alloy decorations. Original shoulder strap intact. Age unknown. This beautifully crafted piece has been lovingly used and ingeniously repaired. Unique, full of character, collectible.
