Rare miniature Catlinite & Hand Hammered Sterling Silver Indian Horse Pipe with stand. This pipe is signed on the bottom as can be seen in pictures. It reads " Tom or Tim 98 #2 " I believe this pipe was made in 1898 and as for the Native American artisan that made it I have not been able to come up with any solid candidates. This is a very well done piece that shows good age and measures 4" long and is 3 1/2" tall on its stand, it weighs 76g. There are 7 hand made feather drops that hang from a small chain on the stem, the Catlinite horse measures 1 5/8" long and 13/16" tall and does not look to be functional , the stand has a nugget type base and two hooks that hold the pipe. This pipe is from an old Ohio collection and is in good condition with no damage , please see pictures for more details and condition.
