Authentic field found Indian stone Axe. 3/4 Groove.Brown Hard stone material. 3 1/2"x 1 7/8". Flat bottom,
(freestands for display). Blade & poll are rounded on top and both taper down. Fairly smooth overall finish. Nice deep groove. Old tag reads, morgan, Co. Illinois. T is some residue from another tag that was on the bottom of the poll. Purchased from a collection from Pittsfield, Ill. T are a couple of tiny natuaral vein inclusions ,worked right over by this axes craftsman, and smoothed out from use. Great patina throughout.
