If your local German Pub has a "mug night" w they invite you to bring your own mug to fill it up for "one low price", you GOTTA show up with this baby, and watch the innkeeper faint, as he goes bankrupt filling it with your favorite brew! Just so we're clear on the size of this Monster Mug, it's nearly 15 inches from the base to the top of the lid. And even without your beverage inside, tips the scales at a burly 5 pounds, 4 oz! Why would anyone drink beer out of anything else? This hearty, hand-painted ceramic mug is capped with a hinged, aluminum lid, standing guard to deter bar patrons from the temptation of trying to bounce quarters into what will surely be the tallest and fattest mug in any given tavern. The hinged top is clamped securely onto the large handle, and pivots away with the press of your thumb onto the lever in a feat of great German Engineering. I don't know if you can tell this from the photos, but the printing, the people, and the intricate designs on this work-of-art leap from the scene in 3-D. The beauty and the detail of this piece can be felt, even with your eyes closed, by running your fingers around the sides of the ceramic.
