Authentic German Nut Cracker - Made In Rothenberg! This is a beautiful vintage German nutcracker. It was bought years ago in the historical town of Rothenburg, Germany. It was a treasure found in one of the many beautiful antique stores t This nutcracker is very European looking because of his wardrobe. He looks as though he is a guard. He wears a royal blue coat that has clean white buttons painted in two vertical rows. The jacket has red trim along the collar and sleeve cuffs. He has a black belt strapped around his midsection. He wears white pants and tall black boots. He stands tall on a red circular platform. All of his details, except his hair are painted on. The hair on his head and beard are made of a long, soft white material. On the top of his head he wears a hat with a red beak and blue top with a yellow point at the top and a yellow design on the front. He stands 13 ½ inches tall, and is 6 inches wide at the widest part (across his shoulders). His face is painted with detail. He has blue eyes to match his coat, with thick black eyebrows. He has rosy cheeks and a pinkish nose. His mustache matches his eyebrows, thick and black. He has never been used to crack nuts, but could certainly do so. He is vintage, but still in great shape.
