Up for auction is an excellent high grade white burlington Agate Basin point from the Paleo Period in Southern Illinois. It was found in Fulton Co. Illinois and is an eye catcher! This piece was bought at one of Rainbow trader's recent auctions. If anyone knows Dennis Arbeitor he only sells quality authentic items. The point is 3 1/4 long by 1 1/8 inch wide and has exceptional flaking, shape, and nice concave base, much like a clovis point but even rarer on an Agate Basin, as they typically have rounded bases. This is the best medium sized Agate basin point I have owned. It has great parallel knapping and has a slightly rounded tip from use and one tiny nick in one side toward the tip. It has the typical Illinois patina and the point is also guaranteed to be authentic for life with no modern touchups whatsoever and guaranteed to paper with Davis, Motley, or Rogers. These type of Paleo points are very collectible and I am starting the bidding out at less than half of what's its truly worth and half of what I have in it, but I'll let the bidders decide the final outcome. Feel free to ask any questions and feel confident in bidding as my feedback should speak for itself. Payment needs to be received within 3 days of auction end and Paypal payments are prefered, but money orders are also accepted. The point will be mailed as soon as payment is received by way of US priority mail with full insurance. Good luck bidding!!
