RIGHT UP FRONT, I have to say that I am not an expert at identifying types of arrowheads. We are using the books that were part of my father's collection to attempt to identify these as best as we can. (Perino's and Bell's "Guide to the ID of Certain American Indian Projectile Points" No. 1-4.) One of the nicest points in the collection, this Cahokia point has five notches and no breakage, making it a rare and valuable arrowhead! As you can see, we sent this one to Dwain Rogers for authentication, and we include his COA with the point. According to his COA, it is a "Type: Cahokia, Material: white Burlington chert, Illinois" and "Length, 1 3/16 inches by Width, 1/2 inch". We are starting this auction a little higher, because we can't part with it for less! Thank you.
