A Japanese glass fishing floats approximately 3.25 inches in diameter. The spindle is free standing and runs from almost top to bottom of the float. This is one of the finest spindles I have ever found. It's is finer than the average human hair. There was to much soft glass on the inside during the blowing process and Mr. gravity took over and formed the spindle. This float is really old, fairly bright has some net pattern frosting on one side. It is trademarked with 2 large dots embossed on the seal. Amos Wood's book states that spindles occur only 1 in 1500 floats produced so it is on the rare side.
This float is authentic and I personally beachcombed it from Alaska's beaches.
