Authentic Jewel Tea Autumn Leaf 2-Pint Baker Guaranteed Offered for your consideration is this Jewel Tea Autumn 2-pint Soufflé/Casserole (French Baker). It is listed in The Jewel Tea Company - It's History and Products 2 nd Edition by C.L. Miller on page 90. Following is a direct quote from the book, "The 2-pint is one of the most sought after of the Autumn Leaf soufflé pieces and, when located, can be quite expensive." This baker has obviously only been displayed and never used. T are no chips, cracks or repairs. The colors are bright and the gold trim is complete. The inside is clean and bright with no utensil marks. This is a beautiful item, but I want potential buyers to be aware that it is an antique and t is some minor evidence of handling that in no way detracts from the appearance of this rare collectable. T are very very small rub marks on the gold band. I can only see them upon close examination. These minute flaws do not detract in any way, but must to be mentioned for accuracy. You can see them clearly in the pictures. This baker is about as close to perfect as I have ever seen. Sometimes this rare Autumn Leaf 2-pint baker seems more plentiful than they actually are. The reason for this is that many people mistakenly sell the more common (and less expensive) 3-pint baker as a 2-pint. T are several ways to identify a true 2-pint baker. The easiest way is the markings on the bottom of the baker. The 2-pint baker will always have a number 503 on it. The second way is by size. The 2-pint baker measures 6.5 inches diameter, measured at the top of the opening and it is 2.4 inches high. The third way is the flowered decals. They never vary on the 2-pint. The decal is always as shown in the picture. I hope the information I have provided will help you identify the real 2-pint baker when you decide to buy one. The baker is backstamped, "HALL'S SUPERIOR QUALITY KITCHENWARE Tested and Approved Mary Dunbar Jewel Homemaker's Institute." The authenticating 503 is embossed on the bottom as well. As you can see, this item is in excellent condition. I absolutely guarantee this to be an authentic 2-pint baker. If you are a serious collector of Jewel Tea, Autumn Leaf, Mary Dunbar, or Hall products this is a must have for your collection. Thanks for visiting my auction!
