Customize your flight jacket or gear with an authentic AAF embossed leather name tag. Tags are made from vegetable tanned new leather hand made to original specifications. Machine pressed for deep even embossing. Tags are approximately 4 inches by 5/8 of an inch (can be longer due to size of name). Embossed letters are 1/4 inch in size. Each tag comes ready to sew on your flight jacket, gear, etc. You can have the option to have scores around the tag for sewing. Scores provide an area w the threads are allowed to be flush with the surface of the leather to minimize wear to the stitching. With time your tag will age to a beautiful amber color as the originals. You can also apply a small amount of pure neats foot oil to protect. Above are examples of embossed tags with or without scoring. Tags shown on a russet brown horsehide. Top tag is a scored tag sewn on a jacket. second tag is scored for sewing. Third down is an unscored tag. Bottom tag is one of ours taken from a jacket after years of use. PLEASE NOTE: With your payment please include your NAME, and if you want the tag scored or not.
