Up for auction I am offering an authentic handpainted LIMITED EDITION (5/500) signed Limoges porcelain trinket box from Limoges France. These tiny and highly collectible treasures are completely painted by hand which makes each one unique. They are made from the highest quality white porcelain which comes from Limoges in France and are made in various factories throughout the area. This is one of the more unusual Limoges boxes in my collection and is very well made and detailed. It was purchased at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and depicts two Harlequins or Harlequin Clowns with gold masks painted inside-one smiling and one frowning- COMEDY & TRAGEDY and "Le Carnaval de Venise" in French or "The Carnival of Venice" translated into English. Inside this lovely box is a removeable gold painted sun which is also very detailed and 3 dimensional. These make wonderful gifts and are a great conversation piece.
