This is the second time I've listed these chairs, and to be sure it is the last, this time they offered with no reserve price and FREE shipping through Greyhound to the lower 48 United States. This auction is for a second pair of authentic vintage signed Knoll barcelona chairs designed by Mies van der Rohe. I have a total of four of these chairs see my other auctions for the other two. The chairs condition is like brand new. They are in such excellent condition because they came out of a state office in the James R Thompson Center in Chicago Illinois that was hardly ever used. They still retain their State of IL property control tags. They were used more as show pieces as a way to connect the offices interior style to the modern environment offered at the Thompson Center. The building is very progressive and modern so I've included pictures of the building and the sculpture it features to give you an idea of their origin. These chairs looked great t and they will look fabulous in your modern interior as well. Own an authentic piece of modern design history. They are upholstered with hand stitched individual panels of black leather. The leather is free of holes, cracks, rips or split seams. The leather back support straps are in perfect shape. The stainless steel frames are also in perfect condition. These are well documented original Knoll chairs. Please email me for international shipping quotes.
