Authentic railroad lantern...recovered from a Maryland depot outside of Baltimore. Unique red/green rotating lens in excellent shape.
The lantern was recovered after a construction crew removed an obsolete out-building in a train station. The lantern stands 14" tall, has a glass lens on the front 5" across...no damage to the lenses inside or out.
This piece of history will make a nice addition to any collection, personal or museum. Very attractive and functional, this lantern has the original oil burning element with porcelain wick holder. Looks in very good shape and does not appear to have any damage or dents.
This lantern will be double boxed in styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrapped for added protection. Insurance is required and will be paid for with shipping via UPS ground by purchaser. The light will ship immediately upon payment. Yes, I love Paypal.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
