AUTHENTIC ROYCROFT COPPER TEXTURED VASE FINE PATINA 1920's Wow! This is a very fine example of a Roycroft bulbous form vase (referred to as a bowl by Roycroft). Rich and heavy (14 oz.), this vase is the most desired Aurora Brown tone in an acid etched form. I personally love this vase-it has been in our family for many years. What a great item for the collector. Whether beginning a new collection or looking to add a really fine example of acid etched Roycroft, this is a great one! My Mother recalls it in her parent's home when she was quite young. She says late 1920's for certain. I have no way of knowing for sure but Roycroft only made items from the early 1900's though the early 1930s. Another ebayer tells me the mark indicates later years so this is probably late 1920' or early 1930's. The piece is in excellent condition with a true patina and no nicks, dents or cracks. It has not been cleaned (I would never clean it) so t is a few good year's dirt. The vase measures 4 ½ inches tall, 5 inches wide at the widest point and 2 ¾ inches at the base. The distinctive and authentic Roycroft mark is easily identified on the bottom. T are a few scratches on the bottom. The vase comes from a non-smoking home. I am not a Roycroft expert but I know a little about the works and I have tried my best to give you accurate information. If you have questions, please ask before bidding. Although t are several other Roycroft pieces in my parent's home which I am also selling, this is my favorite one. We have enjoyed it for many years- now it is someone else's turn. This would make a great Mother's or Father's Day gift! We are helping my parents downsize their home.
