This beautiful Sioux beaded dance shirt is authentic down to the last bead. Bought at auction a few years ago it is truly an amazing piece.

Strips of stunning and intricate beading are placed on both sleeves, down the front and back and on the fringed chest apron.

A white background enhances the traditional Sioux multi-diamond pattern in blues, greens, reds, and golds. The sleeve strips left and right are 23 inches long. The front and back breast strips are approx. 34 inches long. The breast apron is 5 inches by 5 inches. Fringe on the sleeves is about 10 to 11 inches long. Shirt from sleeve to sleeve is approx. 68 inches across. From shoulder to shoulder across front is 27 inches. From shoulder to bottom is from 27 to 30 inches.

The beading is probably from the 50's, the leather is more recent.

This is a beautiful example of Native American beadwork and crafts.
