You are bidding on an authentic run number box from inside the cab of Toronto Transit Commission H4 class subway car #5643. The rolls scroll nicely with the knobs on top of the frame, and the interior lights work (12 volt operation, see the pics). The box is in in the same condition it was in when I removed it from the subway car. Overall, it is in good physical condition when sealed, however, the back door welds are weak, with only a couple spot welds still holding (see the third picture). If the box is left sealed though, the unit offers little evidence of this weakness. The front glass window is missing, but a replacement glass or plastic window could be installed easily (not included). It comes with about a foot of lead wire (original to the box) for wiring it to whatever 12 volt power source you choose to use.With the rapid retirement of the TTC's non-accessible subway trains, these are some of the last H5 class subway car collectables being available.Shipping to the USA or Canada is $15.10.Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.
