Omega manual winding, caliber26.5T3PCT1, 15 jewels, 18000 bph, ref.2450 4, circa 1946 VERY RARE AN ORIGINAL FIND . What a rare and stunning find, the Omega Manual Winding caliber 26.5T3PCT1, 15 jewels, 18000 bph, ref.2450 4, circa 1946, in its original Stainless Case with reference 2450 clearly stamped on the case back. This watch is a very special find in that it is original and working wonderfully having just been serviced. The dial is of immense beauty and shows a radiant silver glow emanating from the center, the dark black lettering and outer rim seconds indicators are wonderful, showing the raw essence of the 1940's period. Only one year after the second world war had finished and the world was putting itself back together, this watch would have been an extremely extravagent purchase for the time and one that has lasted the passage of 67 years, coming out in amazing condition and ready for the next journey. The caliber 26.5T3PCT1, 15 jewels, 18000 bph movement is a wonder and working splendidly, with a sub second dial located at 6 o'clock with a second hand that sweeps in a mesmerizing motion across the original silver dial. The hands are perfect in that they are original and have aged perfectly showing a tremendous respect for the passage of 67 years with that beautiful blue black colour. The Stainless case being original is worn in some areas, the lugs are a little worn and one lug is bent slightly and has a small crack. The crown has been replaced, but thoughtfully and thankfully with an original Omega crown, winding the movements and adjustments are very precise, but the crown is a little slack in its operation. T he 'Crystal' Plexi glass is very clear and free from scratches as seen with the naked eye. The Genuine Leather strap is a high quality after market strap with silver coloured buckle.
