Autochrome photos Grand Canyon 5 vintage images Lot 6 Grand Canyon Autochrome Lot # 6 -- Rare and unique autochrome images. Early color photographs of the Grand Canyon and probably surrounding areas. This is a lot of five (5) original vintage autochrome images on glass from a collection of autochromes of the Grand Canyon and what looks like the surrounding areas in the southwest. T is no way for me to be sure what the location is for some of the images as t is no identification of location and no photographer's name on any of the images, but some are obviously the Grand Canyon, and the rest look like they were produced in a similar terrain, at the same time, having matching decorated paper mats. Autochrome color photographs were made in the early Twentieth Century, beginning around 1907. I'm selling my collection of Grand Canyon autochromes in lots on eBay. This is lot number 6, and you get the exact images shown Autochrome images are difficult to photograph, and my pictures do not do them justice. They are delicately colored, with finely focused details. The colors are richer and the details sharper on the autochromes than in my pictures. The originals look much better than my photos.
