Autograph -President Dwight D. Eisenhower âe"White House Stationary- Personal Letter To His Brother Edgar N. Eisenhower You are bidding on a letter from Dwight D. Eisenhower to his brother Edgar N. Eisenhower regarding Dwight commissioning Edgar to represent him at the dedication of Mount Eisenhower on August 24, 1958. Edgar was 21 months older than Dwight. They maintained a close relationship throughout their lives. The letter is on watermarked light green stationary with The White House and Washington in blue at the top. T are two fold marks from the letter being folded when it was mailed and a pressure mark from a paper clip in the top left hand corner. The paper clip left a rust stain on the back of the letter.The letter reads: The White House WashingtonAugust 19, 1958 Dear Ed: By the attached commission you are designated as my Personal Representative to attend the ceremony incident to the dedication of Mount Eisenhower in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, August 24, 1958. T is no particular virtue in preparing such a document, but I thought it might be a souvenir for a grandchild. The rather formal letter that is attached may serve, if you so desire, as part of whatever remarks you may choose to make at the dedication. Best wishes fro an enjoyable mission. Love to Lucy.
