A one of kind item. In October of 2002, 2 concerts were held to benefit the family of departed music journalist Timothy White. As word passed of the event, organized by John Mellancamp, more artists jumped on board to play these shows. In the end, the lineup would read like a who's who of classic rock and pop. The two concerts featured slightly different lineups but both sold out quickly with very little advertisement or fanfare. Ticketmaster held an auction for front row seats to raise more money and the winners of the tickets also received an autogrpahed event poster signed by all performers from both nights. Up for bids is one of those posters - mine. I paid well over $1,000 to get those front row center seats to be close to my idol, Pink Floyd's Roger Waters. The poster was an afterthought until I actually received it. Not only did I have the signatures of the artists who were at the Boston show, but Brian Wilson and Jimmy Buffet from the NYC show the following night! I immediately had the poster professionally matted and framed and put under UV-resistant glass to preserve this icon of music history.
