On August 30th, West Babylon New York's #1 source for great music for over 35 years, Looney Tunes, was consumed-whole by fire. Thankfully, no one was injured but the store itself was all but lost. Down, but not out, like the legendary Phoenix we will soon rise from our ashes.

Tom Waits, born December 7, 1949, is an American Songwriter and composer with a cult following despite having little radio and music video support. His trademark voice has been described as sounding "like it is soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in a smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and ran over with a car." With his trademark growl, his incorporation of pre-rock styles such as blues, jazz, and experimental tendencies verging on industrial, Waits has built up a distinctive musical persona.
The photo was shot by Danny Clinch, a photographer and filmmaker, known as one of the premier photographers of the popular music scene. Beginning his career as an intern for Annie Leibovitz, Danny has gone on to photograph such artists as Johnny Cash, the Smashing Pumpkins, Bruce Springsteen, Tupac, Rage Against the Machine, and Bjork. His publications have appeared throughout the world, including Vanity Fair, Spin, The New York Times Magazine, and Rolling Stone.
