Here is a very nice orginal Automatic Electric 40 monophone telephone . What makes this paticular AE40 more unique than any other Ae40 is that it has the Butler handle which is original ( NOT A COPY ) and that the reciever( which is original ) has a spitcup . I have never seen an AE40 with the Butlers handle except for one other that I had purchased when I bought this one at an Estate sale . I have never seen an AE 40 reciever with this spitcup The Bakelite has no cracks or chips . The cloth cords are still nice . There is the original Switchboard plug on the line cord
