Awesome ariosa arbuckle coffee advertising brass scale

This is an ariosa/arbuckle coffee scale. It was made to commemorate 30 years in the coffee industry. I have information that Ariosa coffee patents were applied for in 1868 but the Co. was produced in 1873. The face of scale is brass as is the commemorative plate. I only polished a small spot on edge of the brass to see how it looked. It polished to new condition but I preferred the original patina. If new owner desires, I will polish brass to a bright finish. The top of the scale is cast iron and the body is metal. It is in very good condition considering its age. The brass plate says"ARIOSA COFFEE FOR 30 YEARS THE STANDARD". T is no rust however t are some paint chips and it has been painted over by someone. The photo depicting the scale adjustment knob shows the places w the paint is worn most. It is 9 3/4 inches high and the base is 6 x 6 1/2 inches. It weighs a tad over 4 lbs. This scale would appeal to any coffee colleor, scale collector or advertising collector. I have never seen one like it. I am making this a 3 day listing to allow it to arrive in time for Christmas giving. T is no reserve on this wonderful piece of coffee history.
