This is an absolutely breathtaking vaseline glass hurricane oil lamp. The glass is made of real uranium vaseline that turns neon under a black light. The lovely pattern is called Daisy and Fern. The oil ball has a ribbed or paneled pattern. Has the appeal of old fashioned victorian oil lamps. The chimney is clear glass. The metal fittings have a shiny brass type finish and appear to be top notch quality. The photos do not do it justice. Stands 14-1/4" to the top of the chimney. Includes a wick.
New and mint condition. The glass is hand made pressed glass and is made by Mosser Glass of Ohio. (The chimney isn't.) This is a high quality piece of art glass made in the USA. Whether you collect Victorian, vaseline glass, or oil lamps this one would make a lovely addition, and would be stunning no matter w you display it - and so useful when the power goes out, or simply for a romantic evening!
